"I Wish To Become a Photojournalist!" |
 |
Seventeen-year-old Monique is finishing her senior year in
high school and intends to study to become a photojournalist when she goes to
college.
To prepare for her dream, Monique wished for a laptop computer,
printer, digital camera and photo editing software so that she could
create and print her own photographs.
In December, Monique, who has a seizure disorder, was surprised with a
Macintosh laptop, a Canon Rebel digital camera, various lenses, a photo
printer, and all the software she'd need to be creative.
As soon as she saw her new equipment, Monique said, "This is so slick!"
Her mother later said that she overheard Monique talking about her wish
gifts and saying, "My life is so complete."
Monique is thrilled that she can experiment with her digital photos on
her laptop, and print out the results with her new equipment. She said
that assembling her portfolio for college applications is now going to
be a breeze. So far she's been accepted to three colleges, and her
future is brilliantly in focus.

Monique reads the proclamation which informs her that
her wish will be granted.

Checking out the gear...

Getting ready to print... Monique loves that she's all
set up at home to be able to print her own photos now.
