Danny P. Age 14 Topsham, Maine "I wish to meet Drew Bledsoe & the Buffalo Bills."

Danny loves everything to do with football, especially quarterbacks. His wish was to meet his biggest hero, Drew Bledsoe. As with many wish experiences, unexpected and magical things happened.

Danny, who was born with one kidney, traveled to Buffalo with his grandparents and his mentor. On a Saturday morning in November, 2003, Danny's adventure began when he met the team for breakfast. And, although that was all he really wished for, the Buffalo Bills had much more in store.

As they began their practice that day, the players asked Danny to join them on the field. They ran alongside Danny - yelling "Go Big D!" - as he sprinted to score a touchdown. After practice, he was ushered into the locker room, where he had a personalized locker right next to Bledsoe.

Danny's family was invited to have dinner with the team while the players signed autographs. One player joked with Danny, saying "Man, you're from Maine and you don't like the Patriots? All right!" Lawyer Malloy gave Danny his autographed shoes and gloves, and asked him to wear his Superbowl ring during the game. While Danny's mug appeared on the jumbotron, he held tight to the ring and cheered his new friends on.
