Brittany Age 17 Westbrook, Maine Brittany Shops In Style

Seventeen-year-old Brittany, of Westbrook, is like most teenage girls - she loves to shop, and her wish was to shop at the biggest mall of all.

Brittany travelled with her parents and brother to the Mall of America in Minnesota. They knew that there would be more shops than Brittany could begin to imagine, but they had no idea how much fun was in store for them at the theme parks and restaurants within the Mall complex.

In fact, Brittany's trip was one thrill after another, beginning with the surprise stretch limousine that arrived to take her family to the airport. Even though Brittany had more money than she figured she could spend, she carefully looked through several stores before making purchases. Her mother, Robin, reported that she spent a lot of money on clothes and shoes. "A lot might be an understatement," Robin said, laughing. "She just went wild buying clothes, and why not? That's what it's all about."

Aside from the shops, Brittany particularly enjoyed the aquarium at Underwater Adventures and the Rainforest Cafe, where her family dined underneath a jungle canopy with sounds of wildlife surrounding them. She also had the fortune of meeting actor Sean Astin, who played the character of Samwise Gamgee in The Lord of The Rings.

After returning to Maine, Brittany went back into treatment for leukemia - she continues to call on the memories of her sweet wish trip to lift her spirits.
