Sunday River and Parrot Head Club Ski and Play for Wishes

For the fourth year, Sunday River Ski Resort and the Parrot Head Club of Maine held a weekend of festivities to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine. Held during the first weekend of April at Sunday River Ski Resort, particpants enjoyed live entertainment (plenty of Jimmy Buffett music, of course), Bust n' Burn mogul competitions, and a pond skimming contest.

The collaboration raised $10,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine -- the equivalent of two wishes!

Former wish child Meredith Laliberte, who went to Walt Disney World Resort last November, was there with her family. Her wish was funded by contributions raised in 2004 at the Sunday River / Parrot Head Club of Maine festival.

Since their first festival in 2002, Sunday River and the Parrot Head Club have raised nearly 40,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine. In 2004, Sunday River and the Parrot Head Club received the Community Spirit Award from the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine. Special thanks to Sunday River and the Parrot Head Club for their tireless work and enthusiasm in helping make wishes come true.
