Team Linnehans

At our Walk For Wishes on September 15th, Team Linnehans showed up at the Ellsworth location with a big surprise. As team captain Willis White, Jr. handed over his team's pledge envelopes, registration volunteers were astounded to see that the team had raised more than $10,000!

White -- who has been a supporter of the Ellsworth walk each year -- said he was inspired to form the team in memory of his boss, John Linnehan Sr., who passed away in 2002. "He was my boss for 28 years, and was very community minded," White said. "I wanted us to raise enough to grant a wish in his honor, or $5,000. But once I saw that we were going to surpass that, I said, 'Let's go for two wishes.'"

Danny Baron raised $4520 on his own, and collectively the whole enterprising team raised $10,866! Thanks to the many businesses and individuals who donated to the Linnehans team members.
