To enter a bid during the live auction, the bidder shall raise his/her paddle, directing the signal to the auctioneer.

Group bidding is encouraged and accepted on all items.

The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In the event of any dispute, the auctioneer shall have sole and final discretion to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer and re-sell the item.

The auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid that, in his opinion, is not commensurate with the value of the item being offered.

5.

All items must be paid in full before the buyer’s departure on Friday evening, July 18, 2008. Items can be purchased throughout the evening at the appropriate checkout table.

6.

Purchases can be made by Visa, MasterCard, and corporate and personal checks, payable to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine.

7.

Please make note of any expiration dates or limited use restrictions on items, as outlined in this catalog. Unless otherwise specified, dates and times are to be arranged at the mutual convenience of the donor and purchaser. Tickets for sporting events are not exchangeable.

8.

The item purchaser is responsible for transporting
purchased items from the The Portland Marriott at Sable Oaks, unless otherwise specified. All items must be taken by the purchaser at the conclusion of the auction, or be picked up between 8:00AM and 10:00AM on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Samoset Resort in Rockport.

9.

By his/her purchase, the purchaser waives any claims for liability against the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine, the Fantasy Auction committee, or the donor of the property or services. Neither the Foundation, its committee, nor the donor is responsible for any personal injuries or damages to property that may result from the use of property or services sold.

Unless noted, the props used in the displays are not part of the auction items.

There are no exchanges or refunds permitted on auction items. Everything will be sold “as is.”
