| Regardless
of your success in bidding at the Fantasy Auction, there are many additional
ways that you can support the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Maine. Here
are a couple of ideas:
Join the Circle Of Angels
While 18-year-old Brandi, of Sidney, Maine,
was going through cancer treatments in 2002, she received many guardian
angel pins from friends and family. The pins boosted her spirits so much
that when it came time for her to make her wish, she asked to travel to
New York City to give guardian angel pins to children who lost their parents
in the September 11 attacks. The Circle Of Angels recognizes individuals
who contribute $1,000 or more to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine.
All donors in this level receive one of Brandi’s guardian angel
pins, as well as other recognitions described below. Within the Circle
Of Angels, there are various levels of giving and recognitions:
Angels are individual
donors of $1,000 or more.
Wishmakers are
individual donors of $6,000 or more. Donors receive details about a wish
granted in their honor.
The Chris Greicius Society
is named after the child whose wish inspired the founding of the Make-A-Wish
Foundation in 1980. The three facets of this Society recognize the many
ways that individuals can support the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Donors receive
a Chris Greicius Society pin.

Donate Frequent Flier Miles
When asked what their greatest wish might
be, many Maine
children begin their response with “I wish to go…”.
On an average of once a week, a Maine family takes off from a local airport
on the trip of a lifetime. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine covers
the entire cost of each trip, including airfare. We are able to do so
in large part due to the generosity of those who donate their frequent
flier miles. We are increasingly reliant on these air mile donations as
most airlines do not offer direct donations or discounts on airline tickets.
Please call us at 236-3171 for more information
on joining the Circle Of Angels or donating frequent flier miles.
